Job Title: Room Leader\n\nLocation: Milton Keynes\n\nSalary: £24,000 - £27,000 per annum (dependent on qualifications and experience)\n\nPosition Type: Permanent, Full-Time\n\nAbout the Nursery:\n\nDunbar Education is proud to partner with a well-established private day nursery in Milton Keynes, dedicated to delivering high-quality early years education. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and experienced childcare professional to step into a leadership role and make a meaningful impact on young children's development.\n\nRole Overview:\n\nWe are looking for a motivated and experienced Room Leader to take charge of a specific age group within the nursery. You will be responsible for leading a team of practitioners, ensuring high standards of care and education, and creating a positive, stimulating environment for the children.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nLead and support a team of nursery practitioners in planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate activities.\nEnsure all children in the room receive high-quality care and education in line with the EYFS framework.\nOversee the daily routine, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment.\nMonitor and track children's progress, maintaining accurate records and communicating with parents/carers.\nSupport and mentor staff, conducting regular observations and providing feedback.\nMaintain compliance with safeguarding policies, health and safety regulations, and Ofsted requirements.\n\nRequirements:\n\nLevel 3 qualification in Childcare/Early Years Education or equivalent.\nPrevious experience working as a Room Leader or Senior Nursery Practitioner.\nStrong knowledge of the EYFS framework and best practices in early years education.\nExcellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.\nA passion for delivering high-quality early years education and fostering children's development.\nAbility to work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and external professionals.\n\nDunbar Education and our partner nursery are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
