We are seeking skilled HLTA to work across a network of SEN schools in West Devon, providing essential support for students with diverse needs, including autism, social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) challenges, and profound learning difficulties. Key responsibilities:
* Lead small group or one-to-one sessions, supporting students’ academic, social and personal development
* Deliver tailored intervention programs, in coordination with teachers, to address each student’s unique learning goals
* Implement effective strategies to support students with a range of special educational needs
* Assist in classroom management, resource preparation and adapting lesson plans to foster an inclusive environment
* Independently lead classes in the teacher’s absence, ensuring continuity of learning and student engagement
About you:
* Qualified and experienced in SEN support, ideally with a HLTA certification or equivalent experience
* Compassionate, patient and skilled in adapting to diverse student needs
* Familiar with behaviour management strategies and creating structured, supportive learning environments
* Observant and detail-oriented, with a focus on identifying and encouraging students’ progress
* Flexible and adaptable, with a willingness to work across multiple schools as needed
