Job overview
We currently have a vacancy within Acute Paediatrics for an ST1/2, participating in the out of hours Resident Doctor rota. This is initially for 6 months on a fixed term contract. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic Paediatric department.
Main duties of the job
We have a vacancy at ST1/2 (participating in the out of hours rota) which would also suit a candidate wishing to undertake an F3 post. We are looking for enthusiastic, positive individuals with a commitment to improving the care given to our patients. You will be part of a team of doctors looking after patients on the paediatric wards working alongside the multi-disciplinary team. Candidates for the post must be registered with the GMC at the time of interview. The salary will be based on National terms and conditions as per the 2016 contract. The Paediatric Medical Inpatient facilities include a Children's Assessment Unit (CAU), a High Dependency Unit and parent facilities. We are proud to be Your Welcome accredited. The Neonatal Unit is currently commissioned for 12 cots. The role will support dedicated time for in-house ARCP and revalidation if required. This role includes out of hours work and a copy of the template rota is available on request.

Qualifications
* Full registration (with a licence to practise) with the General Medical Council (GMC)
* Must have completed at least two years’ post graduate training including time working in the NHS and in paediatrics; or have equivalent experience and competencies
* Progress towards or attainment of Royal College exams
* Other qualification relevant to paediatrics
Experience
* Experience requisite to meeting all aspects of the job role including being part of the out of hours on call
* Experience with audit, teaching or research/critical review of literature
* Previous experience in a multidisciplinary setting
Academic & Research Skills
* Ability to convert research evidence into clinical practice
* Publications in peer-reviewed journals
