Are you and experienced hands-on Senior Health and Safety Advisor/Manager? Trooli are pleased to announce we have an exciting opportunity for an experience Health and Safety Manager, or Senior Advisor ready for your next role to join our Team covering the UK and South/South East of England. Ideally you will come from a telecommunications background and have experience with small civils and NRSWA traffic management. Our ideal candidate will be a person who is pragmatic with their approach and enjoys working with people to draw the best safety practices in delivering their role. Operating within the highways sector, NRSWA certification would be a distinct advantage. The main purpose of the business is involving the building fibre broadband direct to peoples homes. Therefore, this role is key in working with our engineers, third party contractors, local authorities and key stakeholders. Our risk areas are inspections of competencies, ensuring not just direct labour but also third-party labour is skilled in the tasks they undertake. Therefore, Street works SA001/2, confined spaces, NRSW 01/S1 knowledge is critical. Other critical areas are confined spaces, working at height. We also have high pressure systems for cleaning ducts and blockages. A solid understand of RAMS, that are suitable for this type of business and not just generic. Developing communication plans and training. Ability to set strong agenda, drive change and engagement. We have 5 locations (offices and warehouses), Ipswich, Bracknell, East Peckham, Kings Hill, Scotland and satellite warehouses also. We have 100 vehicles on the road a day, therefore driver safety, vehicle checks are key, vehicle safety checks and understanding that our drivers may have distances to drive to a job, but they are not constantly in the vehicle driving all day long. You will need to be grounded and able to hold your own. Skills and Experience: Previous experience within a SHEQ / Health and Safety management position Experience within a telecoms, utilities, or civil engineering environment would be advantageous Strong communication and interpersonal skills Prior experience in undertaking site and contractor audits to ensure compliance, skill competency and quality standards Able to prepare method statements and risk assessments Demonstrated ability in managing health & safety metrics Experience of developing and implementing ISO 9001,14001 and 45001 Management Standards is highly preferred.
