Holden Knight Healthcare is excited to be recruiting on behalf of a local council for an experienced and dedicated Senior Occupational Therapist to join their Learning Disabilities Team. Key Responsibilities:
* Lead on assessments, planning, and delivery of occupational therapy interventions for adults with learning disabilities.
* Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including social workers, healthcare professionals, and support staff, to develop holistic care plans.
* Provide clinical supervision, guidance, and mentorship to junior therapists and support staff.
* Conduct thorough functional assessments to determine the need for equipment, adaptations, and therapy interventions to support service users in achieving greater independence.
* Ensure all services are delivered in compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures, maintaining high standards of care.
* Work in partnership with service users and their families to develop person-centered, outcome-focused support plans.
Requirements:
* HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist .
* Extensive experience working with individuals with learning disabilities, ideally within a local authority or healthcare setting.
* Strong clinical skills in conducting functional assessments and designing therapeutic interventions.
* Leadership experience, including providing supervision and guidance to other professionals.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with service users, their families, and colleagues.
