My client is a leading engineering consultancy known for delivering innovative and sustainable solutions in the building services sector. With a team of 40 experienced engineers, they specialize in commercial, residential, and mixed-use projects, consistently pushing the boundaries of design excellence and efficiency.
Role Overview:
They are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in mechanical building services engineering and a passion for delivering high-quality mechanical design solutions across various project types.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage mechanical design projects from concept to completion, ensuring alignment with client specifications and industry standards.
- Develop and review detailed mechanical design drawings, specifications, and calculations for commercial, residential, and mixed-use developments.
- Collaborate closely with architects, electrical engineers, and other key stakeholders to ensure integrated and optimized design solutions.
- Mentor and support junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment.
- Conduct site inspections and evaluations to ensure compliance with design specifications, regulations, and safety standards.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and regulations to maintain and enhance the quality of our services.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Chartered Engineer (CEng) status or equivalent certification preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in mechanical design engineering within the building services sector.
- Proven track record in leading mechanical design projects for commercial, residential, and mixed-use buildings.
- Strong knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
- Proficiency in mechanical design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, IES, or similar tools).
