Group Reporting and Financial Compliance Manager

The successful candidate will lead on all group reporting, both month end and statutory, ensure statutory compliance and lead on all audit processes.
Main duties and responsibilities
* Take responsibility for the coordination and delivery of timely, monthly financial reporting, and consolidation of all legal entities covered by Global Finance (UK, North America, India, Australia). This includes coordinating all divisional teams and delivering flash reporting, the group reporting template, P&L and BS by entity, analysis of capex, analysis of non-recurring costs and analysis of monthly working capital at group level.
* Ensure the Group has clear, concise and consistent financial reporting across all divisions.
* Support the FP&A Manager with budgeting and forecasting and 3 year plan as necessary.
* Take responsibility for the coordination and delivery of timely, annual financial reporting, including all statutory disclosures (P&L, BS, cash flow) and associated notes and reports.
* Continuously work with the team to review reporting processes and seek to simplify and streamline.
* Ensure consistency of approach of divisional finance teams and application of processes.
* Ensure compliance with group finance policies.
* Lead on group audit (31 August) and group reporting for parent company audit (31 December), ensuring all deadlines are hit, information from divisional teams is provided on time and to a high standard, and all audit queries are satisfactorily addressed.
* Lead on statutory accounts process for UK companies (currently 15) ensuring that consolidated accounts are produced on time and to a high standard for audit requirements and that other accounts are prepared and filed in line with UK statutory requirements.
* Lead on all corporation tax requirements, including liaising with outsourced providers, ensuring all queries are cleared and tax returns are filed on time.
* Lead on quarterly instalment (“QiPs”) compliance and ensure the UK group is up to date with its tax liabilities.
* Take responsibility for financial requirements for the Office for Students (“OfS”) as required.
* Line manage the UK Finance Managers.

Qualifications
* A-levels or equivalent (Essential)
* Fully qualified (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) (Desirable)
Experience and knowledge
* Substantial experience working in a finance and accounting role (Essential)
* In-depth knowledge of UK statutory requirements for accounts preparation and tax compliance (Essential)
* Experience of multi-currency consolidation (Desirable)
* Experience and knowledge of OfS reporting requirements (Desirable)
