Job summary An excellent opportunity exists for a qualified Motor Vehicle Technician based at Gorse Hill workshop. The role involves maintaining a range of vehicles operated by the Trust including Ambulances, Fast Response Cars and Support Vehicles. Main duties of the job The job will entail the servicing and mechanical repairs of our double crewed ambulances and Fast Response vehicles. It is an exciting opportunity to broaden your mechanical experience to work on the specialist equipment on emergency service vehicles. An appropriate qualification in Motor Vehicle Engineering is essential. An MOT testers certificate would be an advantage, but a candidate with a keen wiliness to pursue MOT certification would be considered. A C1 driving licence is essential for this post so a candidate must have C1 category on their licence or commit to obtaining within the 1st year of employment. The hours of work are 07:00 - 17:00 on a shift rota including weekends and Bank Holidays. Our fleet team consists of; Motor Vehicle Technicians, Vehicle parts specialist and 3 experienced Team Leaders who are here to lead and support. We also have a 'Make Ready ' Team, which works alongside the workshop and a vehicle deep clean team. We have 3 experienced fleet drivers and a domestic cleaner.
