Are you passionate about food safety, product excellence, and working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment? Join the Quality Assurance team and play a key role in ensuring every product that leaves the factory is safe, legal, and meets the highest quality standards. You'll work closely with our QA and Production teams to keep everything running like clockwork, support continuous improvement, and be a vital part of the technical compliance systems.
What You'll Be Doing
You'll be at the heart of the operations - no two days will be the same! Key responsibilities include:
Sampling Superstar
- Collect and input samples for analysis with precision, according to testing schedules.
Swabbing Pro - Perform environmental swabbing like a boss, ensuring hygiene standards are always met.
First Line of Defence - Inspect ingredients and packaging, sharing results with the Intake Compliance Controller to nip any issues in the bud.
Test Pack Champion - Assemble test packs with accurate weights and keep tare weights updated so nothing's out of balance.
Calibration Commander - Verify measuring equipment is accurate and within tolerance, keeping schedules up to date and acting fast if anything's off.
Audit Ace - Keep Glass, Hard Plastic and Start-Up Audit records in top shape and ready for inspection.
Taste Panel Leader - Run product tasting sessions (yes, you'll get to taste the goods!), documenting results and flagging any inconsistencies.
Product Quality Expert - Support with product reviews including Start of Life, End of Life and consistency panels.
Paperwork Pro - Keep factory records well-organised and audit-ready.
Consumables Controller - Manage and track essential factory consumables - from plasters to pens - ensuring everything is safe and accounted for.
Detection Detective - Confirm detection methods for consumables, ensuring items like plasters pass metal detection standards.
Audit Trail Champion - Play a critical role in traceability during internal and external audits.
Quality Driver - Work closely with QA and operations to tackle complaints and raise product standards.
Team Player - Embrace a culture of continuous improvement, always looking for smarter, better ways to work.
Adaptable Supporter - Pitch in with additional duties and projects as business needs evolve.
What Success Looks Like
Taste panel completion rate meets or exceeds targets
Audit-ready at all times with minimal non-conformances
Accurate, timely data entry for samples and swabbing
All equipment calibrations and verifications are completed on schedule
Maintaining a strong focus on food safety, quality, brand integrity, and health & safety
What You'll Bring
Essential:
Experience working in the food industry
Level 2 Food Safety qualification (or higher)
Confident using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Desirable:
Previous experience in a similar QA role
