The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Manager for the upstream department. The upstream department is responsible for design, engineering, validation, procurement, and manufacturing of Norton motorcycles. This role will focus on stabilising the delivery, action-tracking, ensuring robust planning, and fostering strong cross-cultural operations. The successful candidate will work closely with internal teams in UK and India, including commercial departments.
Duties/Responsibilities
* Stabilise Upstream Delivery: Ensure smooth execution of processes within the upstream department, reducing disruptions and improving overall efficiency.
* Delivery Planning: Develop and implement robust, well-defined delivery plans in collaboration with stakeholders, ensuring alignment and accountability.
* Process Optimization: Reduce unnecessary changes throughout the workflow by implementing structured processes and enhancing operational discipline.
* Internal Role Establishment: Partner with the commercial department, ensuring clarity around responsibilities and expectations.
* Performance Monitoring: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success, identify gaps, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Personal Specification
* Proven experience in a business management or operational leadership role within the technology industry.
* Experience in process improvement and change management, with a track record of reducing inefficiencies.
* Excellent planning and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and execute robust delivery plans.
* Strong stakeholder management abilities, ensuring alignment across departments and teams.
* Effective communication skills, capable of influencing at all levels of the organization.
