Make your mark for patients We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic scientist with experience in mass spectrometry to join our Characterisation team, based in our Slough office in Berkshire, UK. About the role This role involves supporting characterisation work packages and investigations, focusing on the detailed characterisation of proteins to elucidate their structure, function, and degradation pathways, as well as understanding protein production processes What you’ll do Perform analysis of protein therapeutics using mass spectrometric techniques. Utilize HPLC and electrophoresis as necessary. Maintain accurate records and contribute to the authorship of analytical aspects of regulatory submissions, technical procedures, protocols, and reports. Communicate technical analytical issues to senior analytical management. Tackle complex scientific problems and troubleshoot assays and instruments. Research specific analytical protocols and stay updated on the latest analytical techniques. Ensure lab equipment is properly maintained and initiate appropriate repair and maintenance. Ensure the availability of appropriate lab materials and consumables. I nterested? For this role we’re looking for the following education, experience and skills Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with hands on laboratory experience (academic or industrial) using mass spectrometry. Proven track record of mass spectrometric usage. Excellent knowledge of protein chemistry. Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with cross-functional teams Experience in implementing new innovative techniques and technologies.
