Payroll & Benefits Manager Location: Liverpool Salary: Up to £56,000 Benefits (D.O.E) Employment Type: Full-time, predominantly office-based (hybrid option available after probation) Hours: Monday - Friday, 9:00 - 17:00 (37.5 hours per week) About the Role Search are seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to lead a payroll team and oversee both weekly and monthly payroll processes for approximately 2,000 employees across the UK and Ireland. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate and compliant payroll processing, managing the company's benefits schemes, and implementing best practices to enhance efficiency. Key Responsibilities Manage and oversee weekly and monthly payroll operations, ensuring compliance with UK and Irish payroll regulations c.2000 employees Lead and develop a team of four payroll professionals, providing support and guidance. Ensure adherence to payroll legislation and company policies, keeping up to date with any changes. Oversee the administration of compensation and benefits, including life assurance, private medical insurance, and salary sacrifice schemes. Ensure GDPR compliance and accurate payroll record-keeping. Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to maintain high payroll accuracy and service levels. Identify and implement process improvements within the payroll function. What We're Looking For Extensive experience in payroll management, with a strong understanding of UK payroll legislation (Irish payroll knowledge is an advantage). Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent attention to detail, organisational abilities, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and payroll systems.
