Overview
Larne Community Care Centre is a multipurpose facility that operates various projects for the community including Good Morning Larne befriending service for seniors.
We are seeking a Project Co-Ordinator to join our team.
Purpose of the Position
Reporting to the Centre Manager, the Good Morning Larne Co-Ordinator will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Good Morning Larne service, providing direction and support for volunteers to ensure a safe and welcoming environment, and a high-quality service for our service users.
The ideal candidate will be well-organised, positive, and creative to develop a supportive and non-judgemental environment.
Key Tasks
1. Ensure the aims of the service are met through regular evaluations
2. Recruit and train volunteers
3. Support and supervise volunteers on a day-to-day basis
4. Process referrals to the service
5. Complete daily H&S checks to ensure a safe environment
6. Ensure confidentiality of personal data as per GDPR legislation
7. Ensure all policies and procedures are adhered to
8. Complete any necessary risk assessments
9. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records
10. Develop and maintain links with The Good Morning NI network, other Good Morning Services, agencies, and funders.
11. Ensure the service is effectively promoted
12. Prepare and submit reports to funders as required
13. Provide monthly reports to the centre manager
14. In conjunction with the centre manager, seek and prepare project funding applications.
15. Take part in and help with the organisation of LCCC special events and fundraising activities

Essential Criteria
The following skills and experience are required for the role of Good Morning Larne Co-Ordinator:
Education and training
- GCSE English and Maths
Skills
- Confident using IT systems and able to learn new systems
- Ability to lead and motivate a team of volunteers
- Good communication skills
- Ability to deal with difficult situations
Disposition
- Self-confidence and the ability to relate well to outside agencies and professionals.
- Willingness to attend meetings and training
- Friendly, helpful, caring, flexible, open-minded, patient, approachable.
- Self-motivated
Other
- Access to a form of transport to meet the requirements of the post
- Satisfactory Access NI check required
Desirable
* Clean driving license and access to transportation
* Safeguarding certificate
* First aid qualification
* Experience using Microsoft365
* Knowledge of needs of client group
* Knowledge of how Good Morning Services operate
* Knowledge of Access NI process
* Knowledge of legislation in relation to safeguarding vulnerable adults
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: £12.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 20 per week
