Role : Key Account Manager –Projects Location : Shenton House, Andover Salary : £30,000 to £40,000, plus £7k/pa car allowance Shenton Group is on the lookout for a motivated and talented Key Account Manager to join our team What’s the role? As a Key Account Manager, you will be in a customer facing role providing a professional level of service on Generator and UPS projects of an average size of £250,000 to £500,000 all while acting as an ambassador of the Shenton Group brand. This will include liaising and working with consultants, contractors, and distributors throughout the UK meaning you need an enthusiastic attitude to achieve the customer’s full requirements. Externally this role offers the opportunity to present company overviews and CPD presentations, and assisting with our client’s consultants with regards to technical & practical design and integration information. Internally you’ll work with our Applications/Estimating and support teams through the lead assessment, solution build, pricing and proposal stages of a project. You’ll travel around the UK so a flexible approach to working patterns and being comfortable staying away from home is required. What do you need? You need to have a dedicated and determined attitude, and take a positive proactive approach to engaging with your role and your colleagues. You need to be able to collaborate and take responsibility for tasks including methodically following up on opportunities. You should have at least 2 years relevant experience in the industry or a similar role including experience in negotiating high turnover capital projects in multiple industries. You should be skilled in handling of commercial situations, tiered-level contracting, distributor-based supply chain, margins and be able to sell in a technical and consultative way. Strong practical electrical and mechanical engineering knowledge is essential along with decent IT skills such as being fluent with Outlook, Excel, and Word. A Mechanical or Electrical Engineering qualification and, or strong practical knowledge of generator installations and associated equipment is desirable. What’s in it for you?
