1. Prepare and bake a variety of artisanal bread including sourdough, pastries, and baked goods using traditional methods and high-quality ingredients.
2. Maintain high standards of quality and consistency in all baked goods, ensuring they are visually appealing, flavourful, and freshly made.
The successful candidate must meet the following criteria, and be confident to complete the following responsibilities:
1. Prepare and bake a wide range of artisanal bread, pastries, cakes, and other baked goods from scratch, following traditional recipes and lamination techniques.
2. Measure and bake ingredients accurately to ensure consistency and quality in the finished products.
3. Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure that all products meet our standards for taste, texture, and appearance.
4. Maintain a clean and organised workspace, including cleaning baking equipment and utensils, and disposing of waste properly.
5. Follow food safety regulations and guidelines to ensure the safety and hygiene of all food products.
The following skills and qualifications are a must:
1. Proven experience as an artisan baker.
2. Strong knowledge of traditional baking methods, techniques, and recipes.
3. Excellent attention to detail for shaping dough and decorating baked goods.
4. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
5. Strong work ethic to work early hours of the morning and commitment to producing high-quality products.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well in a team.
