We are currently recruiting for an Isolation Coordinator looking to join our fantastic team here at our Tunstead Quarry, close to Buxton in Derbyshire. The role is easily commutable from Buxton, Macclesfield, Stockport, Dronfield, Manchester, Sheffield, Chesterfield, Leek, Stoke-on-Trent and the surrounding areas.
This is a new role that has been developed to ensure contractor isolations meet the business standards and to bring value in other areas.

Role Responsibility
Reporting directly to the Grinding, Dispatches & Inspections Coordinator, you as the Isolation Coordinator will cover the cross-functional, multi-disciplined isolations of contractors.
This role will have responsibilities for being the first point of isolation for all contractors working on site to ensure compliance, confirming isolations when needed, reviewing and developing isolations, running the isolation committee, supporting the permit office on shutdowns, and managing the performance and optimisation of the PHT and cooler blaster system.
This role will be fluid and likely to change through development, so the successful candidate will need to demonstrate a flexible and dynamic attitude to both working hours (start and finish times as per the contractor requirements) and role evolution.
Responsibilities for this role will include (not exhaustive):
* Ensuring all Tarmac and CRH safety standards are always understood and complied with, along with driving the safety standards across the site.
* Attending and contributing to all safety meetings, site walk-arounds, plant cleaning days, inspections, and safety standdowns.
* Ensuring personal and team safety targets are delivered.
* To become proficient in all aspects of our safety controls – applying isolations and issuing permits.
* Develop and control the isolation process for all contractors attending the site.
* Working cross-functionally to arrange isolation requirements and communicate to the wider cross-functional team.
* Being the blaster champion for the site to ensure full visibility of operational performance and SAP work orders are raised and scheduled.
* Attending the pre-schedule meeting to plan the work required.
* Drive and develop the isolation committee and the review process for both simple and complex isolations.
* Identify and drive the improvements of the onsite isolation points.
* Support and contribute to the permit process during the shutdown periods.
* Attending and contributing to the daily and weekly meetings.
* Supervising teams of contractors.
* Controlling and maintaining isolation equipment and stock levels.
* Attend daily performance meetings to identify any defective operational conditions (mechanical) that may affect production performance and feedback on raised defects status and monitoring results.
* Support and actively contribute to plant failure and RCA investigations.
The fundamental role of the Isolation Coordinator is to provide flexibility, knowledge, and determination to drive the plant forward in its production.
The Ideal Candidate
To be successful in this role of Isolation Coordinator, you will need to demonstrate proven experience working within a Cement, Chemical, mining, quarrying, heavy industrial industry, or a similar environment with a strong can-do safety approach. Additionally, you should have strong IT and communication skills.
Specific Requirements:
* ESSENTIAL – IT Literate, particularly SAP and Microsoft Office applications.
* NEBOSH and/or IOSH Managing Safely would prove beneficial.
* Knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental standards.
* Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
* Sound knowledge of the isolation process.
