WorkwithYorkshire are working with a local law client, who have a fantastic opportunity for a Conveyancing Assistant (post completion) to join their team based in Barnsley. This is a fulltime permanent role based in the office. You will play a crucial role in the final stages of the conveyancing processes ensuring all post-completion tasks are meticulously handled.
Duties:
* Work closely with the legal team to make applications to Land Registry and attending to lender requirements to bring about a smooth closure of legal transactions
* Ensure all post-completion tasks, including filing and registering documentation with relevant authorities, are completed accurately and promptly
* Organise, file, and maintain legal documents, both physical and electronic
* Liaise with clients to provide updates on the status of their transactions and address any post-completion queries
* Prepare and manage post-completion correspondence, including letters, emails, and reports
* Maintain accurate records of all post-completion activities and ensure they are updated in the case management system
* Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements during the post-completion phase
Key skills and experience:
* Previous experience as a Legal Assistant preferably in Conveyancing
* Understanding of post-completion processes and legal documentation requirements
* Strong organisational and time-management abilities
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software
* Attention to detail and accuracy
