Business Unit: Cubic Transportation Systems Company Details: This role is responsible for providing maintenance and repair of client equipment on Cubic maintained assets under the guidance of the ITS Field Services Team Leader and provide support to the Maintenance Engineer. Job Details: Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: Carry out routine and preventative maintenance on all TaPS assets including VMS, EMS, CCTV, ERT, Traffic Barriers. Assist with faults and ensure its undertaken to the highest standard. Ensure all activities are performed safely and to a high standard. Ensure asset maintenance is reported in a timely and accurate manner through Cubic’s maintenance management program. Ensure personal administration is completed in a timely manner, for example timesheets and vehicle checks. Provide support to the Maintenance Team Leader & Engineer Perform minor civil works & site clearance. Work to Cubic Safe Systems of Work guidelines, as required for contractual compliance. Attend and proactively participate in the Maintenance Team meetings Deputise for the Engineer when required. Work in a shift pattern which is a four on four off pattern with a rotating day/night shift Comply with Cubic’s values and adherence to all company policy and procedures. In addition to the duties and responsibilities listed, the job holder is required to perform other duties assigned by their manager from time-to-time, as may be reasonably required of them. Minimum Job Requirements: Skills knowledge and experience: Technical Skills Electrical and Electronics Qualified to ONC or BTEC in Electronic Engineering or Telecommunications Engineering or an equivalent qualification. Understanding of circuits, wiring and control systems Ability to maintain and troubleshoot roadside signs and Comms/Power Cabinets ITS Equipment Knowledge Familiarity with traffic controllers, VMS, EMS, CCTV, ERT, Traffic Barriers, Loop Detectors Networking and Communication Basic networking – IP addressing, switches and routers Communication protocols (Ethernet, Fibre, RS232, RS485, Wireless systems) Integration of field devices through central control devices Soft Skills Ability to quickly troubleshoot issues live, often in safety critical environments Accuracy in wiring, device installations and interpreting technical diagrams Clear reporting and co-ordination with engineers and contractors Knowledge of working safely in a roadside environment PC Literate Full Driving Licence Desirable: Microsoft Office skills Minor civils experience C&G 2391-52 Inspection and Testing qualified. C&G 3667-02, units 102/103 Fibre optic cabling/testing or equivalent. NHSS8 accreditation Hold G39 Hold IPAF, ASLEC approved, NRSWA units 1 to 9 qualification Worker Type: Employee
