The role
As a Automotive Trimmer, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You'll have the opportunity to work across multiple departments, designing, patterning and manufacturing on all aspect of covert vehicles which will include work on armoured seats, body building and upholstery, to name a few.
Day to day, you'll re- trim the components that get fitted on to vehicles, components they make in workshop such as Panels, seats anything that is upholstered, gluing, patterning, cutting of components these get stripped down from the vehicles and unpicked then they will pattern them up to the customers design and transfer it onto either leather or vinyl and cut them out and stitch up to fit back on to the seats.
* Produce automotive interior parts using various trim materials
* Produce patterns for automotive interior trim
* Stripping / re-trimming automotive components
* Alter OEM interior trim to facilitate additional fitted equipment
This role is full time, 40 hours per week and is based on site at Walsall.
Essential experience of the Automotive Trimmer
* Previous experience of vehicle interior trim work
* Produce patterns for a wide range of vehicle trim applications
* Experience of using all types of upholstery adhesives
* Experience of stripping and re-trimming automotive interiors
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team to achieve desired results
Qualifications for the Automotive Trimmer
* NVQ level 2 Automotive (or proven automotive trimming experience)

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
