A leading social media platform is looking to hire an Interim Sustainability/ESG Counsel.
This is an excellent opportunity to assist in the implementation and design of a major social media companies compliance with existing and emerging ESG reporting, supply chain due diligence and other sustainability requirements across multiple markets.
Role overview:
* Advise on climate related topics, drafting climate disclosures, and advise on broader climate related matters.
* Review and evaluate the applicability of ESG regulatory developments, standards, and frameworks across international jurisdictions.
* Contribute to ESG- and CSR-related policies, compliance, and risk management systems, and strengthening of ESG governance mechanisms.
* Draft and negotiate agreements related to CSR partnerships, employee engagement programs, and vendor agreements with varying levels of complexity.
1. Requirements
* UK qualified lawyer.
* Experience gained in private practice and or in-house environments advising on regulatory, environmental and broader business matters.
* Strong understanding of the key global ESG and business and human rights regulations, standards, and frameworks
* Experience in preparing climate, modern slavery and broader ESG disclosures.
* Experience with designing or strengthening corporate governance mechanisms and training business stakeholders on complex technical topics.
* Experienced in identifying legal and reputational risk businesses face and to make informed recommendations.
