This post, within the DHI department, offers an opportunity to lead a team of six staff managing the delivery of a varied range of ICT services throughout HMNB Clyde and it's outstations. You will act as the Intelligent Customer, engaging with a range of service providers, to ensure effective and efficient delivery of ICT capabilities, monitoring and improving performance to ensure all contract timescales and service deliverables are adhered to and comply with the requirements of the Clyde Safety management Arrangements and system design intent. In addition to being the main focal point for delivery of Defence Digital services and up-grades, the post is responsible for ensuring that customer requested requirements and faults are effectively managed through the appropriate contracts. The post holder is also responsible for supporting DHI in ensuring compliance with Authorisation Condition 2 (Marking of the Site Boundary) and Authorisation Condition 3 (Restriction on Dealing with The Site) Please note that this role predominantly delivers administrative, project and programme support and is not a technical role, however some technical knowledge/interest would be advantageous. Person specification This is a customer facing role which requires a high level of customer service and interpersonal skills with an ability to analyse and prioritise workload to support time critical outputs. Although not essential a knowledge of ICT services and project management would be desirable. Excellent verbal and written communication and influencing skills, able to engage with clarity and authority across to a wide range of stakeholders. Confident leadership skills and the ability to build and maintain an extensive network of stakeholders where collaboration is key to the success of delivering within an operational and regulated environment. Management skills to ensure that the Naval Base receives the required delivery outcomes aligned with the operational programme and that project arrangements are appropriate; compliant with site ACs and that risk is demonstrably As Low as Reasonably Practicable. The ability to both lead and work within multi-disciplinary teams to delivery agreed outcomes. The ability to work flexibly, prioritising and managing your own and the teams workload amid emerging and conflicting demands in a busy and pressurised operational environment.
