Salary: £46,148 - £52,809 pa

Job Overview
Due to the expansion of our cardiac services, we are pleased to offer the opportunity for a Highly Specialised Cardiac Echocardiographer to complement our Cardiac Physiology team here at University Hospitals Dorset. The successful candidate will hold BSE accreditation, be enthusiastic and passionate about improving patient-centered care, and be motivated about providing in-house training for junior physiologists. Clinical skills in either cardiac rhythm management or PCI are desirable but not essential.
Qualifications
* BSE Accreditation
* BSc in Cardiac Physiology or BTEC HNC or equivalent
Experience
* Minimum of 3 years experience as a post-registration Cardiac Physiologist
* Experience in 3D Echocardiography, contrast studies, and bubble studies.
* Experience in training and assessment of junior staff and other medical professionals.
* Fully competent in carrying out full study BSE echocardiograms including strain assessments and assisting in transoesophageal echocardiograms.
Knowledge and Skills
* Able to assess normal and abnormal investigations and act appropriately.
* Computer literate and understand the application of IT to clinical investigations.
Interpersonal Skills
* High level of written and verbal communication skills
* Able to work as part of a team but be dynamic and self-motivated.
Other Requirements
* Capable of dealing with distressing and emotional incidents on a regular basis including working with terminally ill patients.
