FPG is recruiting for an Infrastructure Architect to join our client on a 3-month extendable contract based in London (hybrid-working). Ideally you will have previous working experience from the Broadcast Media industry, but other industry experience may be considered.

The Mission:
As a key member of the Global Infrastructure Architecture team, this role involves shaping the future direction of infrastructure design and taking ownership of the design work for specific customer and product solutions. The position requires fostering strong working relationships with colleagues locally and across international locations. Collaboration with technical experts, infrastructure delivery teams, and operations groups is essential to deliver the robust solutions that underpin business operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Requirement Gathering: Collect both business and technical requirements for proposed solutions.
* Design and Implementation: Develop and implement Azure-based infrastructure designs to support centralized infrastructure platforms and facilitate the deployment of the organization’s cloud and on-premise applications/services.
* End-to-End Design Integrity: Ensure the completeness of technical designs, including non-functional requirements, from inception to deployment.
* Standards and Alignment: Adhere to and influence design and security standards, ensuring solutions align with the organization's future-state infrastructure model.
* Delivery Collaboration: Work closely with implementation teams to confirm delivered solutions meet customer and stakeholder expectations. Handle additional tasks, including documentation and handover to support teams, to ensure successful delivery to the end customer.
Required Expertise
The role requires subject matter expertise in planning and implementing Azure-based solutions.
* Azure Networking: Including private access to Azure services, network security (firewalls, VPN, SASE), and related components.
* Azure Enterprise Applications: Expertise in application delivery services and hybrid Active Directory (AD) connectivity.
* Modern Workplace Solutions: Familiarity with Microsoft Modern Workplace technologies.
* Zero Trust Architecture: Proficiency in zero-trust design principles.
* Active Directory and Azure Entra ID: Experience in designing and deploying Microsoft Active Directory, Azure Entra ID, ADFS, SAML, and associated authentication methods.
* Microsoft Security Practices: Including group policy design, machine hardening, and management practices.Additional Knowledge Areas
* Enterprise Networking: Foundational understanding of core network design and infrastructure.
* Networking Principles: Including the use of 802.1x for network access control.Basic knowledge of Microsoft SQL architecture and integration with infrastructure technologies.
* Identity and Access Management: Experience in designing identity, access, and privilege management for large-scale organizations.
* Familiarity with VMware, Hyper-V, and other virtualization platforms.
* Understanding Linux architecture and integration with Active Directory.
