We are recruiting to the role of Student Service, Support & Development Manager, within the School of Social Sciences (Faculty of Humanities). These roles form part of the senior management team within the school TLSE teams and will be responsible for leadership and management of a team of Information, Advice & Guidance colleagues and Student Support and Wellbeing colleagues. The role will ensure the delivery of a range of activities designed to improve all aspects of the students’ experience. The Student Service, Support & Development Managers will work with a range of student groups, academics and PS staff to ensure that UG and PGT students receive the highest levels of support during their period of study within the School. The role works with the Head of Teaching, Learning and Student Experience and other senior colleagues across the University to develop, embed and maintain effective working partnerships with all stakeholders, conducive to the realisation of the University’s strategic aspirations in relation to Student Experience. The role is expected to deputise for the Head of Teaching, Learning & Student Experience during key periods and work in direct partnership with the Teaching & Learning Manager to oversee the successful management of the TLSE teams in a large operational area. The postholder will be expected to play a key role in leading service excellence, process improvement and strive to demonstrate continuous monitoring of processes and deliverables.
