Job summary South Shropshire Mental Health Service has been chosen to host a two-year Pilot project on behalf of the Shropshire Care Group looking at innovative ways to help support service users with severe mental health needs that are hard to reach and may struggle to engage with traditional models of service delivery. We are looking for a 30 hour Band 4 Assistant Psychologist to join this unique project working alongside side other team members to provide evidence based therapeutic interventions under the guidance and support of Senior Psychology team members. The post offers regular supervision and an ability to develop and learn new skills to help service users work towards their recovery across a rural locality. Main duties of the job The post-holder will support B7 and 8a psychologists to provide psychological assessment and evidence-based interventions. The post-holder will work with the multi-agency team. The post-holder will use research skills for audit, teaching, policy and service development and research within the area served by the team/service The post-holder will compile and disseminate relevant resources. The post-holder will work closely with both psychologists and other members of the Multidisciplinary Team The post holder willpromote and maintain good working relationships with clients, their families, carers and other external agencies The post-holder will assist in the development and delivery of individual and group interventions for clients with mental health difficulties delivering evidence based psychological therapies according to the service user's presenting difficulties and team requirements.
