A unique and exciting opportunity has arisen for an Aseptic Services Pharmacy Technician or Operator to join our growing and forward-thinking Pharmacy Aseptic Services Department at Northwick Park Hospital.
We have exciting opportunities for enthusiastic and highly motivated individuals to join the team. You will be part of a team with a proven track record of service improvement and staff progression.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be part of a team of Pharmacy Aseptic Services Pharmacists, Technicians, Operators and Assistant Technical Officers who provide a comprehensive, efficient and safe aseptic preparation service to patients within the Trust, in compliance with regulatory requirements.
The post holder will assist in the supervision, training, compounding and support in the preparation of cytotoxic products and parenteral nutrition.
The successful applicant will have strong values that align with the service and trust values, be motivated to deliver world-class patient care, and strive to better themselves and those around them.

Skills and Attributes
* IT skills, including experience of using Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel).
* Good communication skills both verbal and written, as well as interpersonal skills.
* Good personal organisation and time management skills.
* Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, methodically and accurately.
Knowledge and Experience
* Previous UK hospital pharmacy experience.
* Previous experience of NVQ and e-portfolio, preferably Level 2 Pharmacy Services.
* Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice.
Education/Qualifications
* GCSE Grade 4 or above in Maths and English Language, or equivalent.
* Pharmacy manufacturing with substantial additional experience equivalent to NVQ3; or HNC in Applied Science, Food science & technology; or NVQ 3 Pharmacy Services (or equivalent).
