Your Role
EF Oxford is seeking a responsible and dynamic individual to join our Residence Team as a Residence Coordinator for the summer of 2025. In this role, you will play a key part in fostering a safe, welcoming, and engaging living environment for our international students, while ensuring operational efficiency behind the scenes. This position offers an excellent opportunity to enhance your organizational and leadership skills within a collaborative, team-oriented setting. This is a full-time, temporary position running from June 23 to August 18, 2025. The role involves day shifts, six days per week, with varying hours and weekend availability required.
Responsibilities
* Ensures the smooth running of the student residences
* Ensures the residences provide a comfortable, safe living environment
* Provides the highest level of customer service at all times
* Helps maintain ‘one team’, where the different departments liaise and interact effectively and efficiently
* Allocates new bookings to residential accommodation
* Assists customers with residence queries, ensuring prompt follow-up and excellent customer service
* Liaises with external suppliers where cleaning/maintenance issues are reported
* Completes weekly occupancy statistics
* Ensures allocation information sent to residence suppliers is accurate and on time
* Prepares arrival & departure documents and provides keys for all arrivals
* Follows up on any welfare and disciplinary issues together with the Residence Manager and ensures sanctions are applied in line with EF’s residence rules and regulations
* Assists with the training and supervision of temporary staff/interns
* Participates in student intakes and first week chats
* Shares emergency duty on a rota basis
Requirements
* Given the on-call nature of the position, a flexible, hands-on approach to the nature & hours of work undertaken is essential
* Familiar with Microsoft Office and CRMs (desirable)
* Highly motivated, energetic, positive
* Customer service oriented, friendly & approachable manner
* Able to remain calm under pressure & to diffuse potentially difficult situations
* Sensitive to the needs of international students living away from home
* Excellent communicator with students, colleagues, and external clients
* Attention to detail, organized & thorough
* All offers are subject to a clear enhanced DBS check and two references
* Legally able to work in the UK at commencement of employment
