Working with a client based in Stonehaven to recruit for an Accounts Assistant to join their team on a full-time and permanent basis. The client is a Group of companies with the main subsidiary being an industry leader in their field of fabrication & manufacturing within Oil & Gas. The company boasts an exceptionally stable cash flow and high financial turnover, and having never reported a loss in their history they can offer incredible job security and stability.
You will be joining an existing team of 5 finance staff and will be reporting directly to the Finance Manager. Working closely with 2 other Accounts Assistants you will be responsible for assisting with the accounts across the group's multiple companies including:
1. Purchase / Sales Ledger (bookkeeping) tasks including processing and recording invoices, payments, and expenses.
2. Maintain accurate P/S Ledger records.
3. Collaborating with internal teams to ensure correct coding and invoice approval.
4. Reconciliation and verification of supplier statements and resolving any discrepancies.
5. Monthly, quarterly, and annual reconciliation of accounts across the Group companies.
6. Prepare and process payment runs.
7. Assisting with month-end closing activities and preparation of financial reports.
8. Experience in payroll and Sage Line 50 are preferable but not essential.
To be successful in this role you will:
1. Have a solid understanding of general accounting processes and procedures.
2. Have experience in bookkeeping.
3. Be comfortable answering phones and handling queries.
Salary: up to £30,000 pa
