Key Responsibilities As a Personal Tax Semi-Senior, you will play a crucial role in supporting the firm’s personal tax clients while developing your expertise. Your responsibilities will include: Preparing personal tax returns for a diverse portfolio of clients, including individuals, sole traders, and high-net-worth individuals. Assisting with the review of junior staff’s work, providing guidance and mentorship where necessary. Managing your own portfolio of clients, ensuring deadlines are met and high-quality service is delivered. Liaising with clients and HMRC to resolve queries and ensure compliance. Supporting tax planning initiatives and identifying opportunities for tax savings. Keeping up to date with changes in tax legislation and sharing knowledge with the team. Requirements About You To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications, skills, and attributes: Experience working within a personal tax role in an accountancy practice. Ideally studying towards, or holding, ATT qualifications (CTA qualification support may be provided). Strong technical knowledge of personal tax compliance. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues. Strong organisational and time-management skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. A proactive approach to problem-solving and a keen eye for detail.
