Role Overview: As an Operations Manager, as part of the site leadership team, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day operations. You will be responsible for overseeing the production, delivery, and quality of services/products, while also driving operational improvements and efficiencies across departments. Key Responsibilities: Be the H&S point of contact and liaise with others for fire and first aid. Be responsible for the purchase order from coming into Matara to being dispatched to the customer. On time and on budget without impacting quality. To manage and lead a team of circa 14 operatives and supervisors. Efficiently and effectively plan the workload for the team and machines. Recording, monitoring and managing production KPIs. Addressing and organising machine maintenance and proactive preventative maintenance. Managing calibration of equipment and the calibration register. Liaise and communicate with customers on delayed orders whilst completing the relevant customer order reports. Visit customers to help promote sales, provide technical support and address any quality issues. Provide technical support to the sales teams when quoting for new business. Complete relevant NCR Logs Develop and implement quality policies and procedures. Generate Root Cause Countermeasures (RCCM) for production and quality KPIs. Liaise with Purchasing & Stores to ensure correct and timely purchases. Participate in meetings with customers and suppliers as necessary. Carry out regular one to ones with staff and generate PDRs. Manage HR duties to include but not limited to training, absence, probation reviews and recruitment. Carry out weekly production meetings. Actively participate in the generation of forecasts and actions to achieve those forecasts. Be an active member of the Management Team and a respected leader of the business.
