A rare opportunity has arisen to further develop and apply your clinical skills in our acute inpatient CAMHS setting. We are offering a bank opportunity seeking a minimum of 0.6 WTE sessions for a B7 or 8A Clinical Psychologist, for a minimum of 3 months, with the possibility of an extension period of 6 months, and you will be supported by your manager to make the transition from your current role.
Chalkhill is an inpatient unit which supports young people presenting with complex and acute presentations. Formulations are developed in collaboration with the entire MDT and wider network around the young person, leading to interventions which use a whole team approach. Given the need for this integrated approach, joining the Chalkhill team offers a rare opportunity to work closely and intensively with the young person, their family/carers and the MDT to support the young person. Sussex CAMHS will also be launching the Hospital at Home, intensive home treatment pathway as an alternative to admission, which will work closely with the inpatient multi-disciplinary team.
You will be working closely with nursing, psychiatry, occupational therapy, family therapy, social work, and mental health practitioners across Chalkhill inpatient setting. You will be responsible for ensuring the provision of assessment, consultation, and interventions.
