Could you be the full-time Service Delivery Manager GWR Class 175 to join our team in Plymouth and be a key member of the Services Team based at Plymouth, leading and developing a positive culture and working environment that drives attitudes and behaviours to support and continuously develop the overall project strategy for improvements to Safety, Quality, Cost, and Delivery?
Your future role:
Take on a new challenge in Plymouth and apply your Service Delivery Management expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll report to the Site Tenders and Projects Director and work alongside a dedicated and passionate Services team in Alstom UK&I.
Day-to-day, you’ll utilise, mentor and develop your project team to ensure the key deliverables as defined by the organisation are optimised for the benefit of the shareholders. You will be responsible for the 'day to day' delivery of the Contractual Obligations to the Customer, the Leadership and Direction of the Projects large team(s), and successful delivery of the Great Western Railways (GWR) Class 175 TSSSA Contractual Scope.
We’ll look to you to perform the following:
* Ensure consistent application of procedures, controls, and critical processes on depot, providing regular reports (KPIs) for onsite activities.
* Maximise Customer/Supplier relations, communication, and performance, both internally and externally, while ensuring the delivery of risks and opportunities, maintaining Compliance with Quality and Safety Standards.
* Provide appropriate Operations Performance Reporting at Project Reviews, Customer(s) Reviews, and Governance Meetings (MPR’s, EHS, Critical Project Reviews) utilizing appropriate tools.
* Manage the customer(s) interface on a day-to-day basis ensuring delivery to contract requirements and driving customer satisfaction.
* Oversee Alstom site and staff management, Quality, Health and Safety processes to achieve and maintain a safe and efficient working environment.
* Lead and direct an on-site team and functions including managing individual Performance & Development, Succession Planning (e.g., ALPS).
* Support the P&L of the Project and its associated Budgets including ROP, Headcount, Tooling & Resource.

* Strong experience of project and operational management incorporating: Best Practice, Total Quality Management, Continuous Improvement, Lean Management, Six Sigma, 8D analysis, and ISO 9001 processes, preferably within the Rail Industry.
* Proven Track Record in continuous improvement and cost down delivery.
* Experience in QHSE site-based requirements.
* Good communicator both through face-to-face discussions and presentations with Customers, suppliers, and external parties to drive a collaborative working relationship.
* Knowledge of the Class 175 Fleet, including in-service operation, Depot Maintenance activities & Material Quality assurance. (Or similar DMU/DEMU Fleets)
* Strong experience of Product Safety related issues and management (root cause, 8D, containments & countermeasures).
