Job overview
The Facilities Management Assistant will provide a range of tasks primarily involving catering and food preparation duties. You will be required to prepare and serve meals within our in-patient area and clean clinical and non-clinical areas.
Base: Rathbone Hospital Mill Lane, Liverpool, L13 4AW
Hours: 30 hours per week, on rota including weekends working Early & Late Shifts.
Shift times: 7.30am - 2.30pm and 11.30am - 6.30pm
The role of the Facilities Management Assistant remains integral to our service delivery, ensuring that catering and cleaning standards are achieved and maintained.
Main duties of the job
* Work as part of a team, carrying out allocated facilities tasks.
* Cleaning of clinical/ward areas, inclusive of toilets.
* Basic food preparation.
* Fridge and food temperature monitoring.
* Till operation.
* Assist colleagues and line manager in carrying out tasks assigned to the team.
* Undertake all mandatory training as required and ensure it is kept up to date.
* Participate in performance management and Personal Achievement and Contribution Evaluations (PACE).
* Comply with all relevant policies and procedures.
* Maintain regular contact with your line manager.
* Stand in for other FMAs as required.
* Liaise with all relevant parties in a friendly and helpful manner.
* Work unsupervised and use own initiative in line with service requirements.
* Ensure timely and accurate completion of documentation.
* Undertake cleaning duties in accordance with schedules and instructions.
* Any other duties that may be reasonably expected and that are commensurate with the grade.
Person specification
Qualifications
* CIEH Foundation Certificate in Food Hygiene or equivalent.
Knowledge
* Experience of working in a similar role.
* Experience of working in the NHS.
Skills
* Able to carry out manual tasks.
* Able to function as part of a team.
* Good interpersonal and communication skills.
* Able to be flexible.
* Able to maintain accurate records.
