Job Description
3. Advising on all HR related issues - grievances, absence management, disciplinary, investigation and employee relations.
4. Conduct grievance investigations and disciplinary investigations, including writing reports and making recommendations for future action.
5. Assist management with taking minutes at a variety of meetings.
6. Annually review all Company Employee Handbooks, paperwork etc., ensuring legal compliance and determining areas of improvement.
7. Assist with recruitment - creating job adverts, posting, evaluation of candidates, arranging interviews.
8. Work closely with the Health and Safety Department on annual employee health checks.
9. Work closely with the Health and Safety Department on employee training requirements.
10. Complete a monthly HR report for the Board of Directors - including stats on new employees, leavers, sickness absence etc.,
11. Ensure that HR files are kept up to date with all requirement documentation (e.g., signed contracts, right to work in the UK).
12. Work closely with the Payroll Department (weekly and monthly) to ensure that any required changes are implemented in a timely manner.
The Successful Applicant
13. Experience in a busy HR Advisor role is a must.
14. Multi-Site experience would be advantageous.
15. Experience with Employee Relations matters (redundancies, disciplinary, grievances, performance management). TUPE would also be a 'nice-to-have'.
16. A detailed and up-to-date knowledge and understanding of employment legislation, HR policy and procedures and experience of interpreting and applying this to provide advice.
17. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information in a professional and appropriate manner.
18. CIPD qualified or relevant on the job experience.
19. Ability to regularly travel to all sites throughout the group.
