About the Company - CNH Industrial is a Global Company in the Capital Goods industry, that is looking for a Maintenance Electrician to be part of the Basildon team.
About the Role - Assist in managing the daily workload of the maintenance team, ensuring efficient service delivery and achievement of departmental targets. Oversee the planning and resourcing of Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and shutdowns. Drive a culture of continuous improvement, providing leadership and line management to a team of skilled Technicians. Monitor performance to meet KPIs and quality standards, while ensuring a safe working environment. Operate independently at the organizational level, with outcomes reviewed by senior management.
Responsibilities -
* Robot and PLC programming.
* Maintain and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems and equipment.
* Assist in running an efficient maintenance operation to meet operational and customer demands.
* Manage maintenance projects, ensuring safety, quality, and compliance with company standards.
* Diagnose breakdowns and perform timely repairs to maximize equipment availability.
* Perform scheduled preventative maintenance to minimize unplanned downtime.
* Record all maintenance work on paper and electronic systems.
* Analyse issues to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
* Control and source maintenance tools, equipment, and spares.
* Maintain high standards of organization and tidiness in line with 5S principles.
* Adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
* Write reports and present project progress at meetings.
* Conduct benchmarking studies and implement best practices.
* Plan and execute projects, ensuring timely and budget-compliant completion.
* Lead the development of innovative solutions for complex problems.
* Undertake continuous training and development to support team growth.
* Ensure KPIs are met through effective planning, management, and reporting.
* Conduct risk assessments for department processes and tasks.
People Management -
* Collaborate with team members and other departments to develop maintenance strategies and procedures.
* Ensure high build quality after interventions and throughout equipment lifespan.
* Lead and coordinate the maintenance team to optimize workflow and performance.
* Recommend and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
* Provide technical expertise and support to the team.
* Control and organize the team’s daily work schedule to meet targets.
* Delegate tasks to maximize team effectiveness and monitor performance.
* Address attendance and disciplinary issues within the team.
* Identify areas for development to ensure team flexibility and responsiveness.
* Train team members and other staff when required.
* Motivate and coach the team toward operational success.
* Monitor task completion and ensure good performance is recorded.
* Promote high standards through personal example and team coaching.
Relationship Management
* Communicate and collaborate with other departments, customers, suppliers, and contractors.
* Manage contractors on site to ensure compliance with legal and company standards.
