Job Title: Driver/Street Cleansing Operative
Department: Street Cleansing
Reporting to: Supervisor
Primary role: To carry out daily tasks in line with the contract specification to the highest standard and to maintain equipment on a daily basis.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out scheduled work within the Borough.
* Work alone or as part of a team when necessary.
* Perform duties efficiently to ensure maximum productivity.
* Complete tasks to schedule and report discrepancies to your Working Foreman or Supervisor.
* Report vehicle defects or damage to your Supervisor.
* Check equipment at the start of each shift and exchange damaged or worn-out items.
* Clean all parts of the Borough to a Grade suitable within the specification.
* Report all accidents during the shift to your Foreman/Manager and complete accident reports before leaving work.
* Maintain a courteous and professional relationship with the public, client staff, and colleagues.
* Ensure thorough cleansing of the Royal Borough as per the cleansing schedule or as directed.
* Work weekends and provide cover as necessary.
Essential Characteristics
* Good timekeeping.

* Good command of English.
* Ability to deliver high levels of customer service.
* Completes tasks to a high standard.
* Full driving licence including necessary categories to drive vehicles.

* Basic knowledge of Health & Safety and ability to follow procedures.
* Able to work with minimum supervision.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: Up to £11.44 per hour
