WHAT TO EXPECT
The Strategy Deployment team governs the Strategic Lifecycle Journey at JLR. The team is a key link between the Strategy & Sustainability organisation and the business, partnering to deploy the enterprise strategy. This includes collaborating on Chapter level strategies and the creation of strategic deployment roadmaps to assess maturity of delivery and alignment against our enterprise objectives.
You will work alongside the Strategy Deployment Manager and Business Partner to deliver strategy development & deployment activities. You will collaborate closely with Chapters to translate and deploy enterprise strategy and to co-create business / Chapter level strategies. You will assess deployment maturity, and support strategic inputs and prioritisation for business planning, whilst fostering two-way dialogue between ‘the strategy’ and ‘the business’ to provide an iterative feedback loop into strategy creation.
In this role, you will provide exposure to and engagement with senior stakeholders across the business. You will be integral to the strategy process at JLR, working closely with the wider Strategy team.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
1. Support the Strategy Business Partner team in working with the relevant VCS to ensure consistent and robust deployment of enterprise strategy into the wider business.
2. Support the creation and maintenance of Strategy Deployment Roadmaps for the relevant VCS.
3. Lead delivery of key workstreams in strategic deployment, including oversight of analysis and planning, project management on complex cross-functional projects, and conduct feasibility, maturity and lessons learnt assessments.
4. Lead activities on stakeholder mapping including project engagement and communications plans and RACI where appropriate.
5. Prepare materials and status reporting to key stakeholders and senior leadership on strategy development and deployment project progress e.g. Enterprise Business Reviews and other defined project milestones as appropriate.
6. Lead project related governance and cadence, facilitating workshops and meetings with highly cross-functional project teams to deliver robust recommendations to complex problems.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
1. Experience and understanding of Create Products & Services - requires knowledge to help shape business strategy.
2. Knowledge of theoretical and practical application of strategy deployment & business change.
3. Good understanding of strategy including competitive factors and positioning.
4. Commercial and financial acumen in the context of the automotive sector.
5. Good knowledge of the JLR brands, products, competitors, and positioning along with a solid understanding of global business conditions for the automotive sector and adjacent industries.
6. Working knowledge of JLR’s enterprise structure, major functions/key capabilities across the VCS areas.
