What skills and experience we're looking for
We are looking for an outstanding teacher or someone with the potential to become one to join our successful and hardworking Social Science department.
Roles specific to this position include:
• An outstanding, enthusiastic classroom practitioner who will teach A Level Politics and offer a second, related Social Science subject at either KS4 and KS5. The department currently offers Sociology, Psychology, Health and Social Care and Politics at L2 and L3.
• Knowledge of how progress is measured at KS4 and KS5 as well as strategies to effectively track, monitor and support all students. This will include effective intervention strategies that can be put in place to raise achievement.
• Responsibility for reporting on student progress throughout the year and contributing to subject development plans, exams analysis and subject reviews.
• Be a Form Tutor and contribute to the delivery of a carefully planned tutorial programme.
• Work as part of an extremely high performing faculty and contribute to the ongoing success of all Social Science subject
• To contribute exciting and innovative ways that Social Sciences can develop beyond the classroom both in terms of extra-curricular activities and links with the wider school community.
