Behaviour Support with a Sports Background
Location: Bridgend | Pay: £12.90/hour (£83.85/day)

A well-regarded SEN school in Bridgend is looking for a Behaviour Mentor with experience in sports to join their team. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a lasting impact, helping students overcome behavioural challenges and achieve their potential.
Responsibilities:
* Use sports and physical activities to inspire and promote positive behaviour.
* Provide mentoring to individuals and small groups of students with additional needs.
* Support students in managing behavioural challenges by building resilience and coping strategies.
* Work closely with teaching staff to develop personalised behaviour support plans.
* Be a positive role model, fostering teamwork, discipline, and perseverance.
Qualifications:
* Experience working with young people, ideally within an SEN or educational setting.
* A strong foundation in sports coaching, physical education, or related fields.
* Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with students, staff, and families.
* A calm, patient, and empathetic approach to behaviour support.
* Knowledge of behaviour management strategies (training can be provided).
Minimum Requirements:
* Relevant experience in sports coaching or education.
* A genuine passion for supporting young people with additional needs.
* An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one through the agency).
* Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC).
