Electronic Health Record (T3) Programme Director
Band 8d
Full Time
18 month Fixed Term Contract / Secondment Opportunity
We are looking for someone to lead a major Trust-wide transformational programme that will introduce new ways of working for clinicians providing front-line patient care. Using an integrated IT system as the key enabler, you will be introducing electronic health records, electronic prescribing and administration of medicines, and other streams of work that will enable the organisation to work in a more flexible way and will introduce direct improvements to patient care.
The Transformation through Technology (T3) Programme is in its second year with the core system built and testing underway, and the programme moving to the next stage of developing plans for deployment.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has real experience of leading large-scale change programmes. This will probably have been within the NHS but, for the right candidate who can demonstrate leadership of real change, we would be prepared to appoint without health experience. We would also welcome candidates from an operational NHS background looking to further their senior career within the NHS. It is not a requirement to have led a technology-related programme; this role is more about modernising working practices than about the technology it is based on.
In return, we can offer you the opportunity to make a real positive difference to staff and patients in a large NHS Trust operating across five hospitals in the East of Kent.
Interviews are planned for 8th November 2019.
