An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Service Manager with line management experience, ideally in a care setting, to join a leading charitable organisation in the health and social care sector, offering excellent benefits.
As a Senior Service Manager, you will offer expert guidance on safeguarding concerns and serve as a role model for the operations management team.
This full-time role offers a salary of Circa £32,000 per annum plus £25 per out of hour shift payment.
You will be responsible for:
1. Supervise service provision, addressing gaps and optimising resources.
2. Develop and implement strategic plans aligned with the business goals.
3. Lead care professionals, participate in Out of Hours, and contribute to continuous improvement.
4. Attend Care Worker team meetings and contribute as needed.
5. Investigate HR / Employee relations concerns within the care team.
6. Collaborate with Training and Compliance Manager to ensure sector compliance.
7. Work with Recruitment Coordinator on staffing requirements.
8. Conduct comprehensive performance reporting.
9. Address pays queries and invoice issues from unpaid carers.
10. Conduct monthly themed audits of the sector.
What we are looking for:
1. Previously worked in a similar role such as Care Manager, Registered Manager, Home care Manager, or care supervisor.
2. Prior line management experience, ideally in a care setting.
3. Background in a leadership role.
4. Willingness to commence NVQ Level 3 and/or Level 5 in Health and Social Care.
5. Care Certificate, knowledge of CQC regulations, and Health Care Act.
6. Familiarity with safeguarding protocols.
7. Strong understanding of (unpaid) carer needs.
8. Valid UK driving licence with a roadworthy car.
