On behalf of this organisation, AMS are looking for a Junior Application Support Analyst for an initial 6 Month contract based full time in London. Are you a recent graduate or early in your career, eager to break into the fast-paced world of financial markets and technology? We are seeking a motivated and tech-savvy individual to join our Application Production Support team within Rates and Credit eTrading. About the Role: You will work with a global team supporting critical eTrading systems, helping ensure smooth day-to-day operations for traders across major hubs in London, NY, Tokyo, and Singapore. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain exposure to financial markets while building valuable technical skills. As a Junior Application Support Analyst you will be responsible for: Incident & Problem Management: Assist in managing P1/P2 incidents, troubleshooting system issues, and communicating resolutions to users and management. Monitoring & Performance Assurance: Help monitor the performance of our global eTrading systems, ensuring they meet our 99.9% uptime target. System Diagnostics: Learn to diagnose and resolve technical issues, working with different teams to ensure timely fixes. Automation & Continuous Improvement: Contribute to reducing manual interventions and improving system logs and processes. Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Support team knowledge by maintaining documentation and contributing to training materials for global support teams. Release Management: Participate in system updates, assisting with validation, deployment, and post-release checks. Skills You'll Build: Technical Skills: Develop your knowledge of key tools such as Excel, SQL, and UNIX, while gaining exposure to financial technology platforms. Problem-Solving: Learn how to troubleshoot complex workflows and resolve issues in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment. Financial Markets Knowledge: Gain hands-on experience with pricing and eTrading platforms for credit bonds and derivatives. Who We're Looking For: A recent graduate or junior candidate with a background in IT, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a desire to learn and develop technical skills. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a collaborative environment.
