Position Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Female Complex Care Nurse with specialized experience in brain injury care to join our team in Ruislip. Must have PREVIOUS home care experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in home care and a commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centred support to individuals with complex needs resulting from brain injuries.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide specialized nursing care to patients with brain injuries in a home care setting, ensuring their physical, emotional, and psychological well-being.
* Develop and implement personalized care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals, patients, and families.
* Monitor and assess patient health status, including vital signs and neurological assessments, and respond appropriately to changes in condition.
* Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety and hygiene standards.
* Assist patients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, mobility support, and dietary needs.
* Educate patients and their families on care plans, medications, and coping strategies related to brain injury recovery.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, documenting care provided and changes in condition.
* Act as an advocate for patients, ensuring their rights and preferences are respected and upheld.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care and improve patient outcomes.
Qualifications:
* Registered Nurse (RN) with valid UK nursing license.
* Minimum of 2 years of experience in home care, specifically with brain injury patients.
* Strong understanding of neurological assessments and brain injury management.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and their families.
* Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
