Due to ongoing growth and success in Atlantic Canada, CGI is seeking an experienced Project Control Officer to join our world-class IT solution team in a permanent full-time role. The Project Control Officer supports the project team and/or project management office (PMO) by tracking and producing reports on key project initiatives such as project plans, financials, change requests, time logging, deliverables, innovations, external software and licenses, resource onboarding and off-boarding, risk and issues. Your future duties and responsibilities: • Support Program Management Office or Project Teams with deliverables such as status reports, project plans, meeting notes, schedules, resource plans, risk and issue tracking documents • Track all decisions made regarding requests for change, identified risks and outstanding items • Attend project/program meetings and ensure meeting notes/action plans are clearly documented and communicated • Take responsibility for data management and extraction from project management information systems and reconciliation between the systems • Support the project change management process; review the submitted changes, initiate and monitor approval workflows and work with stakeholders for timely approvals • Report on internal project resources (people, capital, expenses) • Assist in design, development and implementation of new and ad hoc reports and templates as required • Assist in preparation of presentation materials (reports, charts, graphs) for senior management • Take initiative with on-going process improvements/enhancements to ensure data integrity and accuracy • Assist with special projects as required • Track the external software license inventory, manage timely software renewals, track invoices and handle the required approvals • Manage resource onboarding, off-boarding, annual compliances, track resource assignments, and keep the relevant systems updated • Support with project financials, actuals vs. forecast metrics, actual time logging reporting Objectives and Targets • Assist the Program/Project Managers in producing / updating the Program/Project Plans and Work Plans • Timely and accurately produce all program/project reporting requirements • Timely and accurately manage external vendor software license • Provide effective support to the Program/Project Managers • Ensure established Internal processes are adhered to within the programs/projects Required qualifications to be successful in this role: • 2-3 experience of working as a project control officer • Project and program management practice knowledge and understanding • Tools such as MS Office (Power Point, Word, Excel) MS Project, familiar with PMBOK • Understanding of cost metric tools (I.e., revenue cost margins • Experience working in IT Project environment • Experience working with SharePoint Professional Attributes • Good Listener • Excellent Problem Solver • Be an effective communicator • Keen analytical ability Certifications • CAPM certification an asset • PMP certification an asset Skills: · Change Management · Contract Management · Document Management · Financial Analysis · Project Management · Resource Management What you can expect from us: Together, as owners, let’s turn meaningful insights into action.
