Advanced Analytics Analyst - Claims

The opportunity
As an Analyst in the Advanced Analytics team within the Claims Department, you will play a key role in enhancing our claims processes, boosting operational efficiency, and improving customer satisfaction. Your responsibilities will include analysing claims data, developing predictive models, and delivering actionable insights that support informed decision-making and drive operational improvements.
To help you become the best you can be, we provide comprehensive training that includes 5 weeks in a classroom environment and 4 weeks buddy support. Once our formal training is complete, we’ll provide a supportive learning environment so you can confidently continue with your career as a Claims Handler.
What will you be doing?
* Analyse complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights related to claims performance and customer behaviour
* Wrangle and preprocess new data sources, including unstructured data and natural language inputs, ensuring data quality and readiness for analysis while effectively combining datasets from multiple sources
* Develop and implement predictive models to forecast claims outcomes and optimise operational efficiency
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand the business challenges and to ensure data-driven decision-making
* Prepare and present findings, recommendations, and dashboards to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders
* Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in data, technology and insurance practices
Who are we looking for?
* Solid understanding of statistics
* An inquisitive mindset with a passion for exploring data and uncovering insights
* Excellent communication abilities, capable of presenting complex data in a clear and concise manner to diverse audiences
* Ability to collaborate effectively within a team-oriented environment
* Education or relevant experience in a quantitative discipline such as Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or a related field
* Proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages, including Python, SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or similar technologies
* Familiarity with machine learning techniques and their appropriate applications
* Understanding of modern technologies and best practices, including databases, large language models, and other relevant tools
* Knowledge of the insurance industry is advantageous, with preference given to candidates possessing claims-related experience
