Job Title: Project Coordinator
Location: Gloucester
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm (37.5 hours per week)
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
We are seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated, and driven individual to join our Rapid Prototyping (RP) Projects Department. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong engineering background and commercial awareness to support and coordinate fast-paced projects in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Act as the central point of contact between sales, production, customers, and subcontract suppliers.
2. Provide technical guidance, quotations, capacity updates, and scheduling information to help customers meet their project goals.
3. Liaise directly with customers and key decision-makers to win business and develop strong long-term relationships.
4. Ensure alignment between customer requirements and company sales and production targets.
5. Monitor daily scheduling capacity and proactively promote additional services to customers where appropriate.
6. Attend external visits to other group companies and customer sites as required.
7. Maintain a high standard of communication across all departments to ensure seamless project delivery.
Essential Skills and Experience:
1. Proven project management experience, ideally within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
2. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
3. Good knowledge of 3D printing processes and commercial awareness of the plastics industry.
4. Understanding of CNC machining processes.
5. Confident communicator with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
6. Able to work effectively under pressure and to tight deadlines.
7. Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
Additional Requirements:
1. A collaborative team player with excellent reliability and timekeeping.
2. Proficient in reading and interpreting 2D engineering drawings.
3. Working knowledge of CAD software, including Mini Magics, SolidWorks, CATIA, and SpaceClaim.
