This is an excellent opportunity to work closely with a law firm’s Director of Best Practice, advising on managing risk and compliance to support the firm’s objectives. The role is with a growing legal firm based in Wiltshire, providing support across UK offices.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Providing advice on internal regulatory queries and supporting the Risk & Best Practice team with onboarding queries.
2. Serving as a primary contact for compliance and risk issues, including client care, conflicts, confidentiality, information barriers, financial crime (anti-bribery, AML, sanctions, high-risk third countries), and limiting liability and negligence.
3. Managing the firm’s claims and complaints register and producing reports on necessary actions.
4. Drafting, amending, implementing, and ensuring adherence to the firm’s risk and compliance policies in line with SRA regulations.
5. Supporting the processing of complaints and claims.
6. Conducting regulatory reviews and internal audits, including reporting and follow-up actions.
7. Designing and delivering internal regulatory training for new joiners and fee earners.
Key Experience:
* Experience with SRA, AML, and GDPR regulations is essential.
* England and Wales solicitor qualification is beneficial.
