Hours: Full time 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday (Flexibility required to work weekends, bank holidays and additional hours)

The Dawah Project is a registered charity that aims to spread Islam through the media.
We are seeking a passionate and results-driven Charity Fundraising Manager to join our team and lead our fundraising initiatives. This individual will play a key role in driving our revenue-generating activities and ensuring the sustainability of our charitable programs.
Job Summary:
The Charity Fundraising Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing fundraising strategies and initiatives to meet the organization’s financial goals. The role involves building and nurturing relationships with individual donors, corporate sponsors, foundations, and other key stakeholders. The Fundraising Manager will also work to enhance the visibility of the organization’s mission, while ensuring that fundraising activities align with its core values and strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Create and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy, including individual giving, major gifts, corporate partnerships, and grants, to meet the organization’s financial targets.
2. Build and maintain relationships with existing donors and identify potential new funding sources. Ensure timely and personalized communication with donors to acknowledge gifts, provide updates on impact, and cultivate long-term relationships.
3. Plan, coordinate, and oversee fundraising campaigns, events, and online giving initiatives.
4. Identify and apply for relevant grant opportunities. Prepare compelling grant proposals and reports for foundations, trusts, and government bodies, ensuring all deadlines are met.
5. Develop and manage fundraising budgets, ensuring all fundraising activities are cost-effective and within financial targets.
6. Maintain an up-to-date donor database and track fundraising progress. Provide regular reports and analysis to leadership on fundraising performance, including trends, opportunities, and challenges.
7. Plan and execute donor events, including galas, fundraising dinners, and smaller donor cultivation events.
8. Promote The Dawah Project and raise awareness of its ongoing campaigns & events.
9. Execute day-to-day operational aspects of the project(s), including event management and fundraising initiatives.
10. Motivate and facilitate supporters to maximize the funds they raise.
11. Identify resources and assign responsibilities to staff and volunteers.
12. Manage and update databases to record donor contact and preference information.
13. Write applications and mail-shots, using direct mailing to reach a range of potential and current donors.
14. Ensure project documents are complete, current, and appropriately stored.
15. Work closely with relevant stakeholders and departments to ensure effective and efficient implementation of the project(s).
Skills & Requirements:
1. At least 3 years of fundraising experience in the non-profit sector, with a proven track record of achieving fundraising targets and developing successful fundraising strategies.
2. Strong understanding of fundraising principles and techniques, including individual giving, major gifts, grants, corporate sponsorships, and online fundraising.
3. Familiarity with fundraising software (e.g., Donor Perfect, Raiser’s Edge, or similar platforms) and other office software (MS Office, Google Suite).
4. Creativity, imagination, and an entrepreneurial attitude towards fundraising.
5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
6. Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a broader team.
7. Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize workload.
8. Team player with a positive, solution-focused approach.
Qualifications:
A degree in non-profit management, business, communications, or a related field is preferred, but not required based on experience.
