Position: Senior Specialist Speech and Language Therapist
Salary: £46,148 - £52,809 DOE (Pro Rata) plus £1 per hour location allowance
Hours: Flexible working hours available

The Service:
Kerwin Court provides specialized neurorehabilitation for adults with acquired brain injuries in a residential setting near Broadbridge Heath. The team includes rehabilitation support workers, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, psychologists, and speech and language therapists.
The Role:
We are seeking a Senior Specialist SaLT to develop their expertise within our esteemed service at Kerwin Court, providing strategic and professional leadership to the multidisciplinary team.
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Working autonomously as a speech and language therapist within your multidisciplinary team
2. Assessing how communication impacts daily life and providing appropriate interventions
3. Collaborating with patients and their social networks to address and overcome communication barriers
4. Assessing communication needs and developing management and rehabilitation plans, including specialist assessments as needed
5. Providing training to staff and service users' social networks
6. Contributing to service and organizational development
About You:
We are looking for candidates who:
* Hold a Degree in Speech and Language Therapy
* Are registered with the HCPC
* Have achieved Dysphagia Competencies
* Possess specialist knowledge of SaLT models and interventions for ABI, such as social communication, cognitive communication, and communication partner training
* Can manage complex dysphagia within an adult neurology caseload
* Have a minimum of 4 years of qualified experience, including complex case management
