This role is pivotal in ensuring that both in-house and externally sourced products meet our stringent quality standards. Working within a close-knit team, the successful candidate will oversee quality assurance throughout all production stages. A keen eye for detail and prior experience in quality control are essential. Comprehensive training will be provided for operating test machinery used in product verification. Key Responsibilities Ensure all products adhere to established quality standards at every production phase. Apply and understand tolerances, confirming product dimensions are within specified limits. Report quality issues directly to the Workshop Supervisor. Conduct thorough inspections to maintain high-quality outputs. Assemble components to verify fitment accuracy. Operate test machines to validate part standards (training provided). Label goods accurately, ensuring readiness for dispatch. Rework products that do not meet quality criteria. Assist in packaging, ensuring correct quantities and methods. Adhere to company policies, workplace conduct, and health and safety regulations. Utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) appropriately. Complete all necessary documentation accurately and promptly. Communicate quality control issues to subsequent shifts or relevant personnel. Requirements 1-2 years of experience in a production environment, preferably with quality control duties. Basic understanding of injection moulding principles and techniques. Proficiency in basic English and Mathematics. Computer literacy. Physical fitness to perform job duties (e.g., standing, lifting, bending). Excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Strong attention to detail with the capability to complete tasks accurately and on time. Desired Characteristics Knowledge of basic engineering principles, especially in injection moulding. Formal qualifications in quality control. Experience in managing or supervising staff. Physical Demands Ability to sit or stand for extended periods. Frequent bending, lifting, squatting, pushing, and pulling may be required. Additional Information Applicants must be able to reliably commute to Wigan or plan to relocate before starting work.
